AFA is proud to have an extraordinary group of program alumni and is pleased to be able to offer our college-aged alumni an opportunity to work with AFA during each year’s Summer Music Conservatory.

Applications are now open for the AFA 2012 Summer Music Conservatory to be held in Houston, Texas from June 11 through July 21, 2012. Eligible musicians may apply and audition for Orchestra & Chamber Music, Middle School Strings, Choral & Vocal Studies, Middle School Choir, Piano, Middle School Piano or Composition. College-age AFA Alumni are also invited to apply for AFA’s Alumni Intern program. Applications will be accepted until March 31. Please visit the Alumni section for more information.

AFA will honor Pat Bonner, longtime AFA supporter, friend, Advisory Board member, and HSPVA Music Department Head as the very first recipient of The Frazier Merriman Award. Houston Girls Chorus holiday performances coming up! The Houston Girls Chorus will perform holiday music at several events around Houston in November and December. Please stay tuned for where you can hear this wonderful group of young women.
