The Summer Music Conservatory offers talented fourth through twelfth grade musicians focused training that immerses the student in music. Coming from throughout greater Houston and across Southeast Texas, students come together to study under working professional musicians in an atmosphere of supportive learning and camaraderie. Where can I get feedback and coaching on my skills? What experiences will help me develop as a musician? How can I master the next level of technique? These questions, and the desire to become a better instrumentalist, a stronger singer, or a smarter musician, bring hundreds of students to the Conservatory each summer.
At AFA you’ll find a challenging curriculum, exceptional performance opportunities, low student/teacher ratios and broad peer engagement. We believe that by supportively and comprehensively engaging young performers, they will thrive.
