Erin McMillin
Director of Development
Erin McMillin joined the AFA staff in 2017 and serves as the Director of Development providing leadership in philanthropy by overseeing AFA’s annual giving program, government and foundation grants, bequests and endowment gifts. Erin was the “lead duck” for AFA’s first annual “A Fowl Affair” duck race derby in November 2018, overseeing thousands of rubber ducks racing down Buffalo Bayou in front of hundreds of spectators, raising funds for AFA’s Scholarship Enrichment Fund. A native Houstonian, she received a BA in Spanish with minors in Music and French from Southwestern University. A lover of choral music, Erin McMillin has sung in choirs since childhood and, most recently, for eight years with VOX – The Rob Seible Singers. Prior to taking time off to have children, Erin worked in fundraising for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in planned giving. She is an active volunteer at Annunciation Orthodox School and Christ Church Cathedral and has served on the boards of St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool and VOX – The Rob Seible Singers. Erin lives in Houston with her husband, Toby, and their children, Grady and Tillie.
