Alejandra Burgos

Summer Music Festival: Intermediate Piano Arts Piano

Alejandra Burgos started her musical studies and piano studies in the Instituto de Bellas Artes at Medellin, Colombia, later she received her undergraduate degree in Music Performance with emphasis in piano from Fundación Universitaria Bellas Artes, receiving an Honor Degree for her academic excellence.

In 2015 she was accepted into the Sam Houston State University with a full scholarship and a teaching assistant position to do her Masters in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music under the direction of Dr. Ilonka Rus. During her Masters degree she was the principal pianist for the Sam Houston Wind ensemble. After finishing her Master degree, she also pursued and completed an Artist Diploma degree in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music.

Alejandra started teaching during her undergraduate where she taught music for kids and teens, teaching not only piano, but also introduction to music. She has been teaching ever since to students of all ages and all levels. Alejandra is a committed teacher with a desire to offer a creative and professional lesson to every student.
