Dr. Luke Hubley
Summer Music Festival: Orchestra & Chamber Music Intensive, Summer Music Festival: Orchestra & Chamber Music Workshop Percussion
Dr. Luke Hubley is a freelance percussionist who specializes in music theater and contemporary music. He has performed with several Houston-area theater companies including Theater Under the Stars, Queensbury Theatre, AD Players, Alley Theatre, and HITS. He serves as a Co-Artistic Director of the Liminal Space Contemporary Music Ensemble and has also performed with Aperio, MUSIQA, the Houston Composers Salon, and the Foundation for Modern Music. He has also performed with Opera in the Heights and the Houston Grand Opera’s HGOCO. He has performed with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Midland-Odessa Symphony, Texarkana Symphony Orchestra, among others. Luke holds both a Doctorate of Musical Arts and a Master of Music degree from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas State University.
Luke has taught at the University of Houston, San Jacinto College, and Houston Community College. He is an in-demand percussion educator and clinician in the Houston area. Luke also teaches with AFA, a nationally renown Houston music education and community outreach organization.
