Lauren Ross is a passionate Houston-based violist, arts administrator, and educator. During the workweek, she serves as Digital Communications Manager at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, her alma mater, where she studied with Ivo-Jan van der Werff. On weekends, she coaches chamber music with AFA and works as a Houston Symphony Community-Embedded Musician Teaching Artist, leading the En Armonía program with the violin students of the Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus.

An advocate for arts in all forms, Lauren has collaborated on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects with Houston composers, and premiered works by J.E. Hernández, Emma Kent Wine, and Mark Buller. Her artistry has also brought her to renowned international festivals, including the Fontainebleau Schools of Music in France, Music in PyeongChang in Korea, and Domaine Forget in Canada.
