Andrés González

Andrés González has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player throughout the United States, Venezuela, and Europe. His playing has earned him many opportunities to appear as a soloist with several distinguished symphonic ensembles. Mr. González has been featured as a guest artist with the Ocala Symphony, the Sunrise Symphonic Pops, New World School Symphony Orchestra, and the Sewanee Summer Music Festival Orchestra. In 2000, Mr. González moved to Houston to pursue a Master’s in Music at Rice University, where he studied with Sergiu Luca. A native Texan, he now resides in Houston where he regularly performs with Mercury, the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, and Houston Grand Opera Orchestra. He teaches violin at Bridges Academy, and is a Faculty Artist with AFA.
