Leticia Lima

Summer Music Festival: Piano Arts Workshop Piano

Dr. Leticia Lima, born and raised in Niterói, Brazil, is a pianist, educator, and entrepreneur dedicated to cultivating musical excellence and lifelong appreciation for the arts. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano from the University of Houston, where she studied with pianist Timothy Hester, and earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where she also served on faculty before moving to Houston in 2013. Dr. Lima has held roles including Director of Music at RISE at The Warehouse, Traditional Worship Director at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, and Piano Instructor at University of St. Thomas. In 2021 she founded Piano Life Academy in Katy and Cypress, Texas, where she developed a distinctive teaching methodology that integrates technique, creativity, and artistic sensitivity. She is also the founder of Coralina – Brazilian Women’s Choir, a choral initiative celebrating Brazilian culture and language. An active performer, adjudicator, and educator, Dr. Lima continues to promote Brazilian classical music while guiding students of all ages toward artistic growth and musical fulfillment.
