Summer Music Festival: Piano Arts Workshop
July 6 - 18, 2026
Piano
Summer
Pianists at AFA’s Summer Music Festival have the unique opportunity to learn and progress as soloists and to work with peer musicians in chamber music, studio classes, and more, including music theory and enrichment classes. Pianists who are currently in 3rd grade through 8th grade (for the 2025-2026 school year) are eligible to audition for the Piano Arts Workshop, a 2 week session that includes up to 28 students who are divided into smaller cohorts. These peer cohorts move through guided practice sessions for their solo work, larger studio classes, topic and skill based sessions, and chamber music with either their fellow pianists or string players, all led by expert Teaching Artists. This session is the perfect opportunity for young musicians who are looking for a musically challenging and enriching experience that allows them to spend each day immersed in music.
Did you know? AFA offers tuition assistance for students who may not be able to afford the full amount; learn more here. Additional tuition discounts are available for returning students.

Confirmed Partners for 2026 are Fort Bend ISD (now with multiple stops), Humble ISD (two stops), Klein ISD, and Lamar Consolidated ISD.
